As if yoga didn’t already have many holistic benefits, here’s one more to add to the long list: stronger orgasms. With more strength, attention and conscious practice, intense orgasms are just a yoga mat away.1. Self-confidence
People who practice yoga often have more confidence in their bodies (and rightly so)! Feeling strong and muscular can do wonders for your composure and attitude. When you make it a habit to get out of your head and into your body through yoga, it’s also easier to focus and navigate the subtle signals that lead you to orgasm.
Any form of yoga can help build self-confidence, but you can build it by practicing it naked. The more time you spend naked, the better you will feel in your skin. When it comes to poses, nothing gives you more confidence than mastering the Crow Stance or the Warrior II high and strong stance.
2. Suitability
During sex, we often think about how we look, how we sound, what time we need to get up, and other distracting thoughts that take us away from the moment. Although our attention should be on the present moment, it often inevitably shifts to other thoughts in our brain.
Yoga teaches us to shift our awareness from our thoughts to our bodies through breathing and mindfulness techniques. The slow, focused movements encourage us to pay more attention to every part of the body and muscle group, including the muscles used for orgasmic contraction.
Remember, mindfulness is not the practice of clearing the mind, but the art of gently focusing it. Becoming aware of how you feel and how your body responds to stimulation is key to achieving longer, more intense orgasms.
3. Flexibility
In yoga asanas, you learn different postures, increase your range of motion and improve the body’s ability to hold difficult postures. While it is redundant to tout this trait, flexibility plays a major role in sexual satisfaction.
Finding new and comfortable positions during sex not only improves your time, but also puts you in that state physically by directly stimulating your hot spots.
Yoga movements like forward bends and postures like frog pose, downward dog and lunges relax the hips and allow for a wider rotation of the legs. And as with any physical activity, stretching before a big event helps to relax and prepare your body for the intensity.
4. Pelvic floor strength
Have you ever heard of Kegels? One yoga session is worth hundreds of these pelvic floor exercises.
A weak pelvic floor is common in women who have been pregnant, and a tight pelvic floor is common in people who sit for long periods of time or stand slouched. While stretching may seem like a good thing, it is actually harmful to this part of the body.
When the pelvic floor is stiff, it is difficult for blood to flow through the vessels there. The basic idea behind Kegel exercises is to contract the pelvic muscles to increase blood flow to the area, which in turn increases pleasure and orgasm. Although Kegel exercises can be done anywhere and anytime, it is best to integrate them into your yoga routine for greater effectiveness.
Warrior pose, triangle pose, and (of course) bridge pose are good starting points. The more challenging one-legged bridge or standing split exercises are great for strengthening the pelvic floor and improving overall flexibility. Any posture that strengthens the glutes and hamstrings also helps support the pelvic floor.
Although yoga (asana) is a physical exercise, it is also an exercise for the mind….. just like sex. As we learn to find literal and figurative balance in our lives, connect deeply with our bodies and feel more comfortable in our skin….. bada bing. A stronger orgasm, a happier life!In the modern world, we’re constantly taxed with trying to maintain healthy and balanced lifestyles. From work, to school, and social obligations, we are constantly bombarded with stressors that can affect our health. With so much going on, it might seem impossible to find some time to squeeze in a yoga session. But perhaps we can find a way to utilize the practice as a time for self-care..
