Are you looking for favorite, healthy, and easy weeknight meal?

Chicken is usually regarded as a meat which is rich in protein, zinc and other nutrients. However, this meat has been associated with a lot of health problems, such as high cholesterol, heart disease, and high blood pressure. Some people believe that if they eat chicken, their health will be in danger, and they will get a lot of health problems. The easiest way to avoid eating chicken is to buy chicken which is not processed. Chicken is not only high in cholesterol and fat but it is also rich in a number of chemicals, including hormones.

You are craving for more Indian dishes and we suggest you this recipe of chicken saag! If you like a combination of creamy, spicy and savory, this recipe should be on the menu tonight.

Spinach has always been one of my least favorite vegetables, but when it comes to saaga (Indian spinach), I love it. This dish can be made quickly any night of the week with frozen spinach and chicken thighs, but personally I like it better when I replace the chicken with lamb! Try to do it tonight.

Low-carb Indian food is possible

The problem with takeaways from India is that you don’t know if and when they add sugar to your food (and they probably do). It’s hard to cover up when eating out, but this is especially true of Indian food. It’s best to do it at home.

There are many recipes on the internet that can be easily modified, but why do it when we can do it for you. In this recipe we use a combination of sour cream and heavy cream for a creamier texture, but feel free to substitute heavy cream for the sour cream in this recipe!

You can eat Indian keto with keto-naan

We’ve done our best, including developing our naan recipe, so your only option isn’t boring cauliflower rice. Personally, I find cauliflower flabby and it doesn’t hold well in my stomach, so I prefer to use our keto naan with meals or even sandwiches!

What makes this recipe so easy is that the only spice you might not have in the house is turmeric, which you can easily find in any local grocery store. Once you have it, you will be cooking Indian dishes every week.

Simple recipe for chicken Saag

Don’t like spinach but do like Indian food? Try our keto butter chicken. It is currently at the peak of its popularity and will make you a fan of Indian food if you are not already. If you don’t have turmeric in your pantry, now is the time to get some. There are dishes that use only one spice if you don’t want to splurge on all the other spices, like garham masala and coriander powder.

I do my best to use as few unusual spices in the recipes as possible! Since Indian food is my favorite, believe me when I say that this chicken saag recipe is not the last Indian recipe you will see on our cooking blog.

Cooking time: 25 minutes

Instructions:

  • Dice the chicken legs and set aside. Cut the tomato into cubes and the onion into slices. Thaw the spinach, drain and set aside in a bowl.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of ghee. Put the chicken in the hot pan, cook, remove and set aside.
  • Add the second tablespoon of melted butter to the pan and turn the heat low to medium-high. Add the onions and diced tomatoes and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until the onions are soft and the tomatoes have shrunk. Add the crushed garlic and fresh ginger. Stir with a wooden spoon until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add cumin, turmeric, chili powder, allspice and salt. Mix and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Turn heat to medium-high and add chicken, thawed and drained spinach. Stir so that everything is completely covered with spices. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes to allow excess water to evaporate.
  • Add the heavy whipping cream and sour cream and stir with a spoon until the mixture is smooth and cooked. Now taste the spiciness and add more lei, chili powder, cumin or ginger powder instead of freshly grated ginger. Cover and cook over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Serve immediately with our low-carb naan or cauliflower rice!
  • Score: Indian food is something you have to taste and adjust the spiciness to your own taste!
  • ITEM: Lamb would be a great substitute for chicken in this recipe!
